THE DOGS BEHIND OUR CANS ARE IN FACT REAL DOGS. WHO ARE THEY EXACTLY?
THEY ARE DOGS THAT SAW THEMSELVES AT THE MERCY OF THE LOCAL SHELTER SYSTEM - A SYSTEM THAT MANY DO NOT LEAVE.
SOME OF THE DOGS WE CHOoSE TO REPRESENT ON OUR CANS FOUND THEIR WAY OUT THANKS TO THE TIRELESS EFFORTS OF RESCUE GROUPS AND FOSTERS. OTHERS WEREN’T SO LUCKY. WE CHOOSE TO REPRESENT BOTH SIDES OF RESCUE: THE BEAUTY AND THE DESPAIR, BECAUSE THAT IS THE REALITY WE LIVE IN.
SOME OF THE DOGS ON OUR CANS MADE IT OUT (THIRD CAN COMING SOON), OTHERS DID NOT.
NO MATTER HOW THEIR STORY ENDED WE BELIEVE THEY ALL DESERVE TO BE REMEMBERED.

“Grandpa (AKA Starlord)”
Rescued 2016, Loved 2016-2019
Rescued by the wonderful folks at Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary in 2016 from a high kill shelter, this old man found himself affectionately named Grandpa by his rescuers. How he came to be at the shelter at approximately 15 years old and in his condition is unknown but that didn’t matter anymore. It wasn’t long until he found himself from shelter to rescuer, and finally to his forever home where he was spoiled rotten for 3 years.
Grandpa was loved dearly by us, the owners of Kompoocha, and along with our logo, Bella, inspired our mission. 3 years with him were not enough but we are confident it meant the world to him and that’s what matters most to us.
